Wealthy Women Interview with Peter (Guitar & Vocals) and Don (Bass)

Wealthy Women are a San Francisco based Noise Rock band.

They're part of the wave of bands led by Chat Pile, Crippling Alcoholism, Kulk and Remote Viewing who combine their rage and despair at the state of the world with influences stretching back to early pioneers of abrasive noise such as Shellac, Nirvana and the Melvins.

Their music and lyrics are about the experience of living in America as an immigrant, disgust at ascendant toxic masculinity and cruel, mendacious and corrupt governments sacrificing innocents around the world.

The band have toured extensively throughout 2026, visiting cities up and down the West Coast from Seattle to San Diego, with their tour culminating in a sold out album launch at Neck of the Woods in San Francisco.

I got to sit down with members Peter (Guitar and Vocals) and Don (Bass) where we talked about Peter returning to Ireland from San Francisco, the recording of the band's debut album, 'Children', and their upcoming tour around Ireland.
